Having a pet friendly office is definitely a favorite perk of mine that we get here at Alternative. The Alternative dogs are simply spoiled rotten! So much in fact, that these pups and the rest of the Atlanta office had an ice-cream party - filled with a dog friendly ice-cream truck and all.

By purchasing a single Two Degrees bar, you can be a part of the movement and help make a difference in a child’s life. For every bar sold, a meal is given to a starving child in need.

Happiness is in the Bag

Actress and philanthropist Olivia Wilde has a reputation for helping people in need and giving back to less fortunate communities, particularly in Haiti. This year, the A-lister wanted to further her contributions to Haiti by co-designing a limited-edition bag for charity with her partner-in-good Barbara Burchfield and our very own Accessories Director, Mollie Culligan.

Making a Difference with Upward Bound House

In December, we introduced you to Upward Bound House, a safe haven in Santa Monica for homeless families with children to live while they get back on their feet. As of now, our flagship Abbot Kinney store has donated well over 200 clothing items to the organization over a three month span. Recently, our own assistant manager Caroline Yohanan got a chance to speak with UBH’s Volunteer and Services Coordinator, Rebecca Zada, at a volunteer day. Here’s the inside scoop on Zada’s fulfilling job and what’s in store for the future of Upward Bound House.
