On Monday, July 30th, Alternative and online retailer Shopbop hosted an event in New York City to celebrate a creative collaboration with actress Olivia Wilde and her partner-in-good Barbara Burchfield.
The two philanthropists along with Alternative's Accessories Director Mollie Culligan designed The Message Bag - a convertible canvas cross-body bag with brass accents and leather trim - as a charitable initiative benefiting the Artists for Peace and Justice's new school, the Academy for Peace and Justice in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Retail buyers, fashion editors and local tastemakers mixed and mingled and were encouraged to customize their own Message Bag with beads, studs and more alongside Erica Domesek of P.S. - I Made This... while enjoying light bites and cocktails at the Treehouse at David Burke Kitchen.
