Everyone knows that homemade gifts are the best gifts because they are thoughtful and individually created for a specific person. This Valentine's Day, we wanted to help our shoppers create an original do-it-yourself tee for their loved one or a special treat for themselves, so we hend a "Love is in the Air" DIY event this past Saturday at our Abbot Kinney flagship store.
Kristen Turner of Glitter 'N Glue hosted the event and guided guests and shoppers through a step by step process of creating a unique tee out of an Alternative item and safety pins. Guests took our Baby Rib Tank and Basic V-Neck Tee and created fashionable, safety pin masterpieces out of them with the help of the former fashion publicist and celebrity stylists turned do-it-yourself fashion blogger.
Joining Turner at the store were The Peach Kings, our spring collection musical muses who entertained guests with their soothing voices and rocking guitar skills while welcoming them into the store. All shoppers received an exclusive event discount that day, socialized over refreshments and enjoyed the design workshop while snapping photos of their finished product.
