Quasi is a band. The band formed in Portland in 1993. Now, I could spend another paragraph describing the band and their sound, but I think "Portland 1993" pretty much sums it up: the "Portland" part meaning "they're totally indie" and the "1993" part meaning "back when grunge was big, so they are a little more raw than today's polished hipster sound." Of course, "1993" also indicates that they've been around a little bit longer than most, and their experience really shines on their latest album American Gong.
