The CW’s smash hit Gossip Girl is back for yet another season of lying, cheating and impeccably dressed teeners. This year, the spoiled-rotten upper eastside gang is starting college, which will doubtless bring even more sophisticated and stunning wardrobe choices along with all the d-rama.

Aside from prompting grown men and women to say things like "OMG, I can’t believe Blair just texted that!" the show has had a major influence in the fashion world, sparking a prep school chic trend for fall 2009 complete with tartan plaid, neckties for women and lots and lots of cardigans. So whether you’re a Blair or a Serena, I recommend that you fashionistas watch season three, if for no other reason than to study up on style.
