Win Sam Thacker's New Album 'Lines' on CD, PLUS an Exclusive Autographed Tee!

We caught a live performance by Sam Thacker last week in Atlanta as he was celebrating the release of his latest album Lines.  Talk about a lively show!  Later in his set, Sam actually hopped down from the stage because he couldn't resist the opportunity to dance with the crowd.  Handclaps and fun for everyone!

After the show, we met up with Sam and he gave us a song ("No One Needs To Know") for our music player.  Although he gave me that "I don't know what you're talking about" look, I'm dead certain I've heard this song in a movie trailer for a romantic comedy somewhere.  Give it a listen and back me up; I'm totally right, right??

Sam also gave us some excellent swag to pass along to you!  We've got a copy of Lines to give to one lucky winner, who will also receive our unisex V-gan Organic V-Neck in earth moss featuring artwork and autograph by Mr. Thacker himself!  Please note: he wrote "I <3 AA" which is for us - Alternative Apparel.  I will vouch that he does not have a drinking problem.

Röyksopp Is Hitting The US... So We're Giving Stuff Away!

Alternative Apparel Sponsors the 2nd Annual Outside Lands Music Fest in San Fran!

 
We're gonna be out in San Francisco this weekend because, once again, we are the official apparel sponsor for the Outside Lands music festival! (Yay! Get excited!)

The coolest thing about the Outside Lands festival is that they are dedicated to producing the entire event carbon neutral.  What is carbon neutral?  Unhealthy levels of carbon dioxide are released into the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels like coal and natural gas.  In order to prevent this, all of the stages at Outside Lands are solar powered!  The festival is also host to massive recycling efforts and the use of biodegradable materials.  We applaud their respect for our environment, as well as their strong initiative to take action and make an impact.

This year's line-up includes acts like Pearl Jam, TV on the Radio, M.I.A., Bat for Lashes, Modest Mouse, Deerhunter, Band of Horses, and many many more; check out the Outside Lands official site for a complete list of artists.

Zac Posen for... Alternative Apparel!

On last night's Project Runway: All-Star Challenge, finalist Sweet P was discussing her loss to Season 2's Daniel Vosovic.  She was bummed not to win, but Sweet P found that the real highlight was when guest judge and renowned designer Diane von Furstenberg gave her big kudos for her collection.

Following Sweet P's footsteps, we have to express some slight giddyness when we discovered that celebrated designer Zac Posen wore our Topanga Heather Burnout tee to the premiere of Quentin Tarantino's newest film, Inglourious Basterds.  You can see him pictured above with stylist Masha Orlov.  He paired his tee with a super stylish coat, and really, we're loving the whole look.
