Street Performers Inspire our Pima Cotton Photo Shoot

If you ever wondered how Alternative finds inspiration for its imagery, you're about to find the answer: our very own Petecia! She works tirelessly to create the look and feel we've become known for. Here she describes her inspiration our Pima Cotton photo shoot: Street Performers!

I was talking with my friend Tay, pianist in Dawes, about life and whatnot, our dreams and aspirations, when he leaned over to me and whispered, “Petey, I just wanna play the piano.” And that’s all the boy does.  He doesn’t need more as long as he can touch his fingers to those black and white keys.

I admire such passion in music…in anything, really.  I wanted to capture that freedom through music, a life of performance!  I’m in awe of people who live to play. “Alls I need is my trusty ______ and all is right in the world.”

Then one fine evening our production manager Meagan was traveling southbound on the LA Metro Subway when she saw two good-looking boys in old-fashioned dress merrily playing an accordion and a trumpet. Taken aback, she thought, "I have to know them!" So she jumped off her train to join them in theirs, introducing herself right away. That's how we got inspired for our Pima Cotton photo shoot -- and how we found one of our leading Street Performers!
