A Valentine's Day Alternative - WOMEN'S PIMA!

 

Shopping for a lady friend this Valentine's Day?  For a much-desired alternative to flowers (sweet but perishable) and candy (sweet but fattening and sometimes gross), look no further than our faboo Pima Collection.  It's loaded with pieces that will add that certain special something to your honey bunny's much-loved wardrobe.  Some of our recommendations: the Santa Monica Yoga Skirt,  Audrey Sleeveless Tunic, and Benatar Trapeze Dress are all cozy AND flattering, not to mention versatile. A Valentine's Day Alternative - MEN'S PIMA!

Nothing says "I Heart You" like super soft sweetness, which is why this Valentine's Day we recommend hooking your honey up with some luscious Peruvian pima cotton!  What's that you say?  You don't know where to find any?  Well son of a gun, step right up, you've come to the right place!

For the dudes and anyone who likes wearing menswear, we've got a bunch of styles in our Pima Collection, but some of our favorites are shown here.  The Noonan Polo (middle) goes with just about any sweater, and our Perfect Crew (left) and Metro Pullover Hoodie (right) are total layering essentials.  Even if he's already got a t-shirt or 12, he'll think of you every time he puts on his softest shirt ever.

For those of you who had the opportunity to hear President Obama's inaugural speech on Tuesday, you may remember him regaling "the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things – some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom."  Well, if you were wondering exactly who some of those people are or were, look no further than The People Speak, a documentary film based on historian Howard Zinn’s book, A People’s History of the United States, and a work he co-authored with Anthony Arnove, Voices of a People’s History.

Alternative Celebrates MLK Day and President Obama's Inauguration

"I have a dream."  These famous words resonate with us always, but today especially they stand out as both historic and timely: in the same moments we celebrate the life and work of the man who spoke them, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we also prepare ourselves for tomorrow's inauguration of the first African-American president, Barack Hussein Obama. 

We like to think Dr. King is smiling upon this monumental occasion from afar, pleased that his dream of equality is just that much closer to coming true.
